Step 01

Click the Icon

Navigate to any webpage and click the FigSnap extension icon in your Chrome toolbar.

Step 02

Auto Upload

FigSnap captures the visible tab, uploads it to ImgBB, and sends it to your Figma file via the Figma API.

Step 03

Instant Placement

The Figma plugin detects the new screenshot and places it on your active board automatically.

Setup in Seconds

FigSnap needs three values to work. Enter them in the Chrome Extension Options page, and you may need to provide them in the Figma plugin on first run:

Generate a PAT in Figma settings with file_comments:read and file_comments:write scopes. This lets FigSnap read and post to your board.

Paste the full Figma URL (e.g., figma.com/board/abc123... or figma.com/design/abc123...). FigSnap extracts the key automatically.

Get a free key at api.imgbb.com. FigSnap uses this to host screenshots temporarily.

Install the Figma Plugin

  2. Click "Import plugin from manifest" and select the plugin/manifest.json file.
  3. Run the "FigSnap" plugin. It will start listening for new screenshots automatically.
  4. The first time, you may need to paste your Figma PAT and File Key into the plugin UI.
